Yesterday I stopped by a place I like to go to for garden inspiration.
I've lived in this area now for about 10 years, and for 8 of those
years I would just drive by and wonder what it was.
So, one day I stopped in. It's called
Gardens of the World, and it does not disappoint.
The picture above is the front entrance on Thousand Oaks Blvd.
We'll be greeted by a cascading water feature. As we
enter we will do a circle around the garden. The first stop is the
boxwood and rose section. My favorite!
It gets better....
The boxwoods are a little brown. I'm sure they will
green up soon.
The grounds are really beautiful. Sometimes I bring my lunch, or
a cup of coffee
and take a few minutes to sit and enjoy.
Can you tell what part of the world this is from?
As we go down the path we'll enter an area
with olive trees and then agave.
This was really a brief tour. The area is not large, but large
enough. As we have circled around we're back at the entrance.
The day was so hot, the water was refreshing to see.
I was fully inspired by the tour today. I'm ready to make
some changes in my garden.
Please read the sign below, as this was donated to the community
in 2001. I can't thank them enough!!!
Once I discovered the garden, it's hard for me to
I hope everyone had a Happy Mothers Day!
