Tassels for my umbrella....

Aug. 1, 2013

A while back, I had an idea to hang tassels from my umbrella.  Where does one go to purchase such a thing? I wasn't sure so I decided to make some. About two hours later......this is what I hung.

It was really easy to make. You only need four things.
Fabric, scissors, twine, and a hot glue gun.

Cut your fabric in 1/4" strips and fold
over twice. I used 12 strips. Tie off in the middle, fold over, and about an inch
down tie again. Hot glue the knots. Cut the loops of fabric from
doubling them over. Trim the bottom, if needed.
Hot glue twine at the top and hang on your
umbrella arms. So easy!
Sit outside and enjoy.
I think I'm going to go grab a drink....

  1. Dear Sharon very pretty and easy DIY. I love tassels and have them all over the house; so I will try this!!

  2. My brain would never have conceived such an idea, but I love it. Now if only I had an umbrella...
