Magnolia Leaves...

I noticed something this year that I haven't in the past. Magnolia leaves being used in Christmas greenery. I got lucky last week when the tree trimmers were on my street trimming the magnolia trees. I asked if I could take a few cuttings, and they obliged.

Here's some inspiration....

Below is a cutting added into garland around the
front door.

I've added these around the house in garlands,
plants, and wreaths. Next year I may try spraying some
gold.

Have a great week,

Sharon

  4. I love magnolia leaves. You've reminded me that I had wanted to spray them gold too. I think I'm going to do it this weekend. Merry Christmas!

    1. If I had the gold paint I'd try it too. My list of things to do is to long! Let me know how it goes. I think it would be beautiful.

  5. I love them used in decor. I've seen some pretty creative ideas on Pinterest(LOL)! We have a small tree in the very back of our yard. I'm hoping next spring we see some blooms.

  6. LOVE!!! That is so funny because I almost used an image of a bride with a magnolia bouquet for my golden weddings post last weekend (and now I am kicking my self for not using it), as the leaves are green on one side and kind of golden on the other--possibly what makes them so perfect for Christmas, too! I am very picky about garland, but magnolia is so subtle and really stunning!
