The wood ceiling is in!

At 8 o'clock the installers showed up as promised. 8:30 scaffolding was delivered. By 2:00pm they
were done!
I was amazed. At first it was a little scary to take it all in. Once it was finished I can't remember how it was before! Funny how that works...

Almost done...

I'm really appreciative of my installers. The scaffolding was delivered, and they were
setting it up in record time.

Remember this? I love the feeling the wood has added to the room. The bad new is my home is small. The good news is my home is small and therefore projects can easily fit into
the budget!

This was the starting point of the install.

I needed to pick a wood that would work with my existing wood flooring on the staircase.
It's covered with a sea grass runner, but the sides show about 4" of wood.

Stay tuned because this is a work in progress.
The next phase is having the house painted. White!
It did make the living room darker, so I will be concentrating on working with white fabric.

Thanks for stopping in today!

Sharon

    1. Hi Kimberly,
I'm still getting use to it. The paint is bugging me, so when it goes white is when I'm going to sleep well. It does make a dramatic statement when you enter into the home. I really enjoy that. I'm looking forward to finishing this room (we both know it's never really done). Paint, drapes, flowers. Can't forget the art!!!

  4. Its beautiful! I would love to do that in my home if I had taller ceilings. It's giving me ideas, though, like partial insets...hmmm. Enjoy, it is so warm and chic. xo Nancy

    1. Hi Nancy,
Thanks for stopping in today! My place is small and very high ceilings so I took the leap. I'm now looking at smaller areas to consider, without over doing it. It does add drama to my builder production home. Come back and visit!
