I really needed to get on the ball and finish up some lingering loose ends around the house.
One of the projects that required my immediate attention was my kitchen back splash. I finally got around to doing it today!
It looked like this for far to long. The time had come where it needed to be addressed ASAP.
I had two choices. Finish up with tile and have two different dye lots, plus pay a small fortune for a tile guy to make two trips for a super small project. Or, find a solution that would be a one stop deal. I chose the second.
The trick was to find someone who could do this. I went to SHEET METAL in Newbury Park.
They specialize in large contract jobs. I happen to walk into the place on a Friday at 4:45 pm.
Here's what it looked like!
Two men were kind enough to see the desperation in my eyes, and had it made
in about 7 minutes.
Grand total $30.oo
Kindness from them, priceless!!!
He even gave me the adhesive to attach it. I can't believe I had the
orange thing.
Pull the plastic adhesive off...
and we're done!
It's some of the smallest things that can cause us stress in our lives,
and the kindness of a business who took the time to
help me out. I will always remember the kindness they showed me.
Thank you John at SHEET METAL!
This is one of the last projects that needed to be finished.
I'm so happy I can check it off my list.
Do you have any lingering projects?
Thanks for stopping in today,
Sharon
What a success! It must feel great to have it finished. How beautiful your kitchen looks!
ReplyDeleteHi Cynthia,
DeleteIt does feel good! I can't believe that I let it go as long as I did. Stay tuned for a big announcement coming soon.
Sharon
OMG it looks so fab! It makes a huge difference.
ReplyDeleteHi Albertina,
DeleteI don't know why I waited so long to get on the ball and wrap things up! So happy it's off the list.
Sharon
I have a ridiculously long list of projects. Some major. Congrats on your progress Sharon!
ReplyDeleteHi Kimberly,
DeleteIt feels so good to get this list moving. I can't believe I lived with it that way for so long. It feels great to scratch it off the list!
Sharon
Hi Sharon...sorry I haven't been able to visit...all of my spare time is going to help my parents...both are ill...love seeing what you have been up to...any new craig-list finds?
ReplyDeleteJulie,
DeleteIt's so great to hear from you! I'm sure you have your hands full and very limited time to catch up. I have some big news to announce pretty soon, and I need to wrap things up here before I do. I have not had any scores on CL for a couple of months. That doesn't stop me from looking every day.
Take care and check in when you have the time. Thinking of you too...
Sharon
