Laboring on Labor Day...

I had no plans this weekend except to catch up on projects after unpacking. And I can say I did!
Painting, painting, and more unpacking...
I'm over it!

I did have time for a boat ride with some great friends and family. The weather was perfect, and I love looking at the homes from the view on the water.

So relaxing...

Could you imagine looking out on to the water every day?

I also had some time to hang some drapery I just had made for my last place.
That was before I knew I would be moving. Fortunately for me, the buyers liked my
old drapery, so I had these altered to work here.

I can't tell you how much the yellow paint bothers me. For now I have the family room, entry,
hall painted in the new color. I hesitate to paint the living room because I'm considering a much
darker color.

I'm much happier with the new color, as you can see here in the entry.

A small vignette in the family room.

Back in the living room you can see the existing paint color. I'd like to add white paneling
in the dining room and staircase. Considering a dark slate for the rest of the room.

Below would be where the paneling would go. Along with a new, and very
 contemporary chandelier.

I do have my work cut out for me...

Thanks for stopping in,

Sharon

    1. Oh how I wish I was on the lake! Truth be told, I'm happy to be here at all! At least I can walk down every morning with the dog and enjoy a little r and r before heading out for the day.
      Thanks for stopping in today,
