Because it's raining...

First of all I have to say "Thank You" for sticking with me through this entire process.

But because it's raining the finished photos won't be taken
until the sun is out again. So until then...
Progress has been made, along with new things to
repair along the way.
 But, who cares?
Let's get to the really good stuff...

Sometime you have to look at the bad before you can
really appreciate the good! This is the walkway when I
purchased the home.

Where's the house?

Here she is!
This is just a little teaser of the big reveal as I am so frustrated
with the new computer I can only do so much.

It's also raining so pictures won't be the best.

You can actually see the house.

New window added on the garage.
Air and heat compressor relocated  out of the main
walk way in the patio, to a better location. Yes, that white fence is the
strategically placed cover to camouflage it!

Let's just do a few more pictures...
I'm getting the hang of the new program.

So this is what it looks like when a door is being removed. You know
the ones...dry rot, falling apart. Placed right up
against the wall. ??? Who does that!?

We moved it over. After all, it needed to be repaired.

You can see at the bottom the wood was replaced and
stained a dark color. Before it was painted white.

Now you can see it with the trim.
The big, fat, beautiful trim!

It's also moved about 4". At least I have drywall between the
molding and wall.
To some people, it may not be a big deal. I get that. But to me, it
makes all the difference.
It's the attention to detail that can make a difference
in how a home feels.

I hope the rain passes so I can get the finished shots.
The electrician will be coming early this week to
install the lighting.

Then, we really can call it a day.
I need a break!!!

Have a great week,

The House of Hampton

  1. Sharon I'm so excited for you and can't wait to see the reveal. Isn't it a pain when the weather keeps us from taking our photos?

    1. lol YES it is! Sunny skies today and the crew is finishing up the lighting... Getting camera ready. Thanks for stopping by.
