It's August already...

What's happened? It's August already. It feels like time is flying by so fast. Summer just started and now everything is back to school. I really don't mind that part...

Not much has been happening around the house. I'm scheduled to start
on Part II of the back patio.
I feel good with my decisions, as I've had plenty of time to change my mind, and yet
I'm not. So it feel like it's all systems go.

Shingled.

Round II will be the exterior paint and siding. Fun stuff....
I'm still struggling with the color, but I have decided on the trim.
Once this get's done it's going to move into the fast lane.

I am looking forward to seeing the changes. Even if it's
as slow as watching paint dry.

I have been clearing things out and organizing which makes me feel
so good. I'm grateful for that.

A few inspiration photos along the way always keeps me focused.

Would you look at that?

Seaside Sanctuary : Architectural Digest

and I will leave you with this sunny, coastal image to start your
week.

Does it get any better????

  2. Yes. I am soooo in the mood for some pretty inspiration photos. Also I'm living vicariously through your paint job. I would love to paint our house....I really want a white house. Is that boring? With shutters that might be black or deep blue since we're so close to the water.

    1. I'm with you! I think white is the new "it" color. White homes are being favored very heavily by designers. I think it would be stunning!!! I'm leaning towards a very pale, gray....bright white trim. I hope I don't let you down! Feel free to weigh in with comments and suggestions.
