Selecting paint

If it wasn't hard enough selecting exterior paint, I've now decided to tackle the interior.
I'm looking for a white that's not too white. My trim is bright white and I want some contrast,
but still white. You see how difficult this can be?

While visiting a friend today, she was having the same problem. Lucky me because she had several
draw downs painted from the paint store and several walls with testers in different light.
You know what that means? Cans of paint.

The one I was most interested in was Farrow and Ball Slipper Satin. So she gave me the can, and off I went.

erlying grey-green tones have a softness that creates a decorative scheme which feels as if it has been there forever. Traditional neutral Slipper Satin ...:

Here's some images with the color on the walls. The trick is to test it on my walls, with my flooring,
and lighting to see if it works.

The image below is the best picture I could find showing a good portion of the walls.
Notice that the trim is slightly a brighter white?
This is one of my favorite homes in Los Angeles. I'm hoping to achieve this look for the
interior walls.

Wish me luck. I'm test painting tomorrow.

  1. My favorite trim color is Dunn Edwards, Swiss Coffee and for the walls I like Benjamin Moore, Timid White.
